Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. Prepare the batter: In a bowl, whisk together cornbread mix, buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until smooth. Stir in cheddar cheese and bacon if using.
  2. Cook the waffles: Preheat a mini waffle maker and lightly grease with cooking spray. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of batter into each section and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.
